About Layne Enterprises
My name is Catherine Stanley
My tax career began in 2019 with Jackson Hewitt, where I was recognized as their top tax preparer three years running in 2019, 2020, and 2021. From there, I went on to earn both my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and my Enrolled Agent (EA) license with the IRS through Indiana Institute of Technology, graduating in 2024.
Layne Enterprises launched in 2022, and after much prayer, became my full-time business in 2023. In 2024, I was honored to receive the Fortitude Fund grant, which was a proud milestone for the business. The business is named after my son Layne, who, knowing I would always need to work as a single mother, wanted to make sure I had a real work-life balance.
I am a mom of three: Layne who is 10 and can be seen in the picture winning a soccer match, Junior who is 5, and Ellen who is 4. Our life outside of work is full and loud in the best way. You will usually find us at the soccer fields or at Sweetwater Sound for drum lessons. When we are not there, some of our favorite Fort Wayne spots include Science Central, the library, Coney Island, the Fort Wayne Zoo, and long walks at Lindenwood Nature Preserve.
